Ready to lead, develop and motivate an insightful and high performing Data & Insight function in an evolving, progressive Marketing Agency? Gekko Group is looking for an experienced Data professional to join us, managing the Data & Insight team to ensure that Gekko Group reporting remains insightful and the lead within the industry.

With a D&I Manager and a small team of Analysts, you will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team and other departments, helping to build strong relationships, head up a talented team, and leverage your experience to bring new ideas. You will proactively work with our Client Services teams and brands to ensure campaign objectives are clearly understood, and direct the continued development of all Gekko Group client reports giving insightful trend analysis and return on investment metrics that clearly demonstrate our knowledge of the channel and our effectiveness.

Your Package:

  • A salary up to £48,000 (DOE), plus company bonus and car allowance.
  • A permanent spot on our team (Monday-Friday).
  • Hybrid working: 4 days in our Newbury office working from home every Friday.
  • 22 days holiday (increasing to 26 days based on tenure) + bank holidays + buy & sell holiday options.

Your Role:

  • Manage the D&I team to ensure that Gekko Group reporting output is considered to be insightful and the lead within the industry.
  • Proactively work with Client Services and brands to ensure campaign objectives are clearly understood and translated effectively into a comprehensive questionnaire to ascertain insightful trends and insights which deliver business.
  • Develop and support the Data and Insight (D&I) team ensuring high standards are achieved and deadlines are met.
  • Direct the continued development of all Gekko Group client reports giving insightful trend analysis and return on investment metrics that clearly demonstrate our knowledge of the channel and our effectiveness.
  • Project manage all development projects which involve data collection tools and reporting processes.
  • Work closely with the IT team to devise and develop new reporting processes to enhance the quality of the services to the Gekko Group and our brands.
  • Develop ways to create revenue from generic data; turning insights into initiatives that improve performance and profitability.

  • Solid experience in a similar role with a knack for communicating complex information clearly and concisely.
  • You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
  • You possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and cloud data platforms like BigQuery; plus experience with data visualisation software (PowerBI, Looker Studio), Google Drive and Excel.
  • Great communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • Experience leading and motivating a team, building strong external and internal relationships.
