Gekko Group is looking for an experienced Finance professional to join our team. This is your chance to lead the way in building efficiencies and sharing knowledge about how to cut through on financial management, people and facilities effectiveness.
With a Purchase Ledger & a Payroll Executive, also HR & Recruitment team you will work closely with our Managing Director, helping to build strong relationships, head up a talented team, and leverage your experience to bring new ideas and growth towards achieving ambitious business targets and a pleasant working environment for all.
We are an award-winning, leading field marketing agency that connects leading leisure, lifestyle, and tech brands with consumers across retail, online, and B2B channels, bringing them to life through captivating in-store experiences, events, and direct engagement. Our teams work collaboratively to bring energy, enthusiasm, and experience to every interaction as you will be expected to do also. Proximity to our Newbury office is required and an ACCA or similar qualification desirable.
Your Package
- A salary up to Β£60,000 (DOE), plus a bonus and car allowance.
- A permanent spot on our team (Monday-Friday) with commutable proximity to our Newbury office.
- Hybrid working: 4 days in our Newbury office, working from home every Friday - Non Negotiable.
- 22 days holiday (increasing to 26 days based on tenure) + bank holidays + buy & sell holiday options.

Your Role
- Head up the Finance & Facilities also Personnel function working with existing team members to develop their skill sets and the effectiveness of the business.
- Responsible for the consolidation and review of departmental accounts, budgeting & strategic plan processes across the business.
- Financial reporting and accounting as per company and legal requirements and processes.
- Managing the P&L, Forecasts, Cashflow and Management Accounts accurately.
- Turning insights into initiatives that improve performance and profitability.
- Maintaining and managing Gekko Group Offices and Vehicle Fleet.
- Directing your HR Manager to ensure statutory requirements are met and valuing our people are front of mind for all.
- Leading and supporting your teams to do their best work and showing others how to be commercially smart when it comes to client budgets.
- Auditors and financial advisors - ongoing interaction to fulfil statutory requirements as well as adhoc projects.
Sound like you? Weβre looking for
- Experience in Finance from any sector. Facilities experience is an ideal addition as is Personnel functions.
- Proven experience in Sage is essential as is being able to create a stellar set of Management Accounts, Forecasts and maintain a healthy balance sheet, ACCA qualification or similar is desirable.
- A leader with integrity who can intelligently balance the demands of the day-to-day and strategic expectations along with motivating a team, building strong internal and external relationships.
- A strong commercial understanding and the ability to translate this into effective financial and business decision making, procrastinators and timewasters need not apply.
