Location: Geek School Tutoring, Beckenham BR3 4LS and Catford SE13 6QT

Working Hours: Weekdays (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 5-7 pm) and Saturdays (9am-3.30pm) (hours are negotiable)

Geek School Tutoring is an expert provider of quality educational support services. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated English tutor to join our team at our Beckenham centre (based in BR3 4LS) or our Catford centre (based in SE13 6QT) plus some online teaching hours in the evening.

Role Description:

As an English tutor, your primary responsibility will be delivering high-quality classes for primary and secondary school students. You will provide tailored lessons to suit students' individual needs, improve their literacy skills, and facilitate their success up to GCSE level. Training will be provided, so previous teaching experience is not important.

Key Requirements:

  • A strong humanities degree, preferably in English
  • Excellent subject knowledge in English
  • Passion for teaching English to young students from age 5 to 16
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan, organise and lead lessons
  • Good interpersonal skills and an approachable personality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
