We're a founder-led brand with ambitious plans for growth, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Social & Content Manager to lead and grow our social function.
The Role
We're looking for a highly creative and commercially minded Senior Social & Content Manager to take ownership of gee's social presence.
You'll lead our social strategy, content calendar and campaign rollouts, ensuring everything we create feels considered, relevant and unmistakably gee.
You'll work closely with the wider team on campaigns and launches, translating creative concepts into strong social-first content and bringing your own ideas, formats and opportunities to the table.
A key part of the role will also be building and leading our growing social team.
You'll help shape the team around you, manage creatives and creators, and ensure everyone has clear ownership, works independently and delivers to a consistently high standard.
We're looking for someone who thinks ahead, makes decisions and takes genuine ownership.
- Own and develop gee's social strategy across Instagram, Tik Tok and emerging platforms.
- Build and manage the content calendar across campaigns, launches and always-on content.
- Translate campaigns into strong social-first rollouts across Reels, Stories, carousels, UGC and other formats.
- Develop social content ideas and identify new opportunities, trends and formats relevant to the brand.
- Identify gaps in our content and proactively organise what needs to be created.
- Own social copywriting and maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Ensure all content feels visually consistent and aligned with gee's premium aesthetic.
- Content Production
- Plan and oversee social content shoots and regular content days.
- Oversee briefs and shot lists for social content.
- Brief and direct content creators, photographers, videographers, models and external creatives.
- Ensure we capture the right mix of campaign, product, educational, lifestyle, UGC and community content.
- Review creative output and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Ensure content is delivered on time and to a consistently high standard.
- Build and develop a high-performing social and content team as the brand grows.
- Set clear responsibilities, priorities and standards across the team.
- Manage workflows, deadlines and delivery.
- Create a culture of ownership where team members work independently, bring ideas and take responsibility for their areas.

- Oversee community management across social platforms.
- Develop relationships with relevant influencers, UGC creators and industry contacts.
- Oversee creator sourcing, outreach, gifting, briefing and content delivery.
- Use community feedback and social trends to identify opportunities for future content.
- Performance
- Own social performance reporting across growth, engagement and content effectiveness.
- Use insights to understand what's working and improve future content.
- Stay ahead of social trends, platform developments and emerging formats.
- Regularly bring new ideas and recommendations to the business.
About You
You're an experienced social and content professional with exceptional creative judgement and a strong understanding of premium brands.
You're proactive, highly organised and comfortable taking genuine ownership.
You don't wait to be told what needs doing, you identify it, make a plan and ensure it happens.
You're confident leading people and creatives without micromanaging them.
You set clear expectations, trust people to do their jobs and hold a high standard for the final result.
You're passionate about beauty, fashion, content and digital culture and naturally keep up with what’s happening across social.
Most importantly, you're excited by the opportunity to build something, rather than simply inherit an established department.
- 5+ years' experience in social media, content or a related role, ideally within beauty, fashion or lifestyle.
- Experience owning social strategy and content calendars.
- Experience planning and overseeing content production and shoots.
- Excellent creative and visual judgement.
- Strong understanding of premium social content.
- Excellent understanding of Instagram, Tik Tok and social-first creative.
- Strong copywriting and brand voice skills.
- Experience briefing and managing creatives and creators.
- Experience managing people or readiness to build and lead a growing team.
- Experience working with influencers and UGC.
- Strong understanding of social analytics and performance.
- Highly organised with excellent project-management skills.
