gee is a premium hair extension brand trusted by iconic women including Anne Hathaway, Rebel Wilson and Eva Longoria. We’ve recently won multiple hair industry awards, including a Marie Claire Hair Award. Our work sits at the intersection of fashion, beauty and process. We care deeply about how things look, feel and land — not fast beauty trends or chaotic content. We’re a founder‑led brand with big ambitions and a small, focused team building something considered — and we’re looking for a creator who wants to be inside a brand, shaping how it’s seen and felt.
The Role
We’re looking for an On‑Camera Social Media Executive & Visual Storyteller to bring gee’s world to life through thoughtful, on‑camera content. This is a hands‑on, creative role for someone who enjoys process as much as outcome — filming, editing and shaping content that feels intentional rather than forced. You’ll take approved ideas and turn them into finished social content: behind‑the‑scenes storytelling, studio moments, transformations, product narratives and the quieter details that make a brand feel real. You’ll organise shoots, plan filming days, source props and references, and appear on camera across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts. Everything you create should feel aligned with gee’s premium, fashion‑adjacent aesthetic.
What We’re Looking For
- Confident filming and appearing in short‑form, on‑camera content
- Strong short‑form editing skills (CapCut, Final Cut Pro or similar)
- Drawn to fashion, imagery and storytelling that feels considered, not chaotic
- Attention to references, textures, silhouettes and tone
- Understands that restraint is part of luxury
- Organised – enjoys planning smooth, well‑run content days
- Comfortable filming behind‑the‑scenes, studio life and transformation content
- Strong writing ability for captions and short‑form storytelling
- Enjoys preparing, setting and shaping shoots with care
- Takes direction well and executes with attention to detail
- Motivated to grow creatively and professionally
Key Responsibilities
- Turn approved concepts into finished, scroll‑stopping social content
- Plan content calendars and structured posting schedules
- Source UGC, trends and creative references aligned with the brand
- Organise shoot logistics: models, HMUA, props and timings
- Film behind‑the‑scenes, studio moments and story‑led day‑in‑the‑life content
- Edit short‑form videos for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
- Write captions and publish content via scheduling tools
- Capture everyday moments that build connection and depth
- Track performance enough to inform future creative decisions
- Work closely with the Senior Content Lead, photographer and founder
About You
- 1–3+ years in content or social creation (fashion or beauty a bonus)
- Comfortable on camera with strong presence and communication
- Highly organised, proactive and self‑led
- Culturally aware and up to date with evolving content formats
- Based within 30 minutes of Cheadle Hulme
- Excited by growth – creatively, culturally and professionally
This Role Is Not For You If
- You’re chasing viral chaos over considered content
- You want influencer‑style work rather than brand‑building
- You prioritise trends over taste
- You’re more fast‑beauty TikTok than fashion‑led storytelling
A Note on You
You likely already create – even when no one asks you to. You notice moments others miss. You care about how things feel, not just how they perform. You want to build something from the inside, not just post for it.
What Makes gee Different
Every person here plays a meaningful role. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of the doing – to keep content moving and to treat the brand with care. Performance is recognised. As you grow, so will your responsibility and creative influence.
Salary £26,000 – £32,000 depending on experience and skill. If you have the eye and the drive, we’re open to developing the right person into full role ownership.
How to Apply
Email your CV and portfolio to partnerships@geehair.com. We care far more about your eye than your CV. Show us work that feels like you – personal projects welcome. Include a short cover letter or video telling us why this role resonates.
