Lecturer, Accounting & Finance – Global Banking School

Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU)

Location: London, East London

Type of Contract: Full‐Time, Permanent (40 hours per week, no sponsorship)

The Role

We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met
  • Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials
  • Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
  • Stay current with developments in your field and student support practices
  • Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression

About You

  • Hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
  • Possess extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
  • Have experience supervising student work and providing feedback
  • Maintain accurate reporting and thorough student records
  • Work well under pressure, prioritising workload to meet deadlines
  • Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Work effectively with diverse groups of people

Desirable

  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commit to enrolling on a teaching programme within three years of probation
  • Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes
