The Role
We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met
- Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate
- Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials
- Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
- Stay current with developments in your field and student support practices
- Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You
- Hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
- Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
- Possess extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
- Have experience supervising student work and providing feedback
- Maintain accurate reporting and thorough student records
- Work well under pressure, prioritising workload to meet deadlines
- Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Work effectively with diverse groups of people
Desirable
- Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commit to enrolling on a teaching programme within three years of probation
- Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes
