Salary: £32,000 Per Annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts in day, evening, and weekends as required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support for assigned students/groups, including student meetings and proactive holistic support.
- Provide indirect support via email, phone and tracking student academic performance with Faculty Manager.
- Collaborate within the faculty and across departments to triage student problems and direct them to specialist services.
- Identify and support students at risk, including outreach before or after class, calling students, and following up on initiatives.
- Assist students with workload management and organisational skills; contribute to faculty monitoring meetings.
- Guide and signpost students toward further support as necessary; follow up with colleagues and students to ensure support is in place.
Qualifications
- Experience working in FE/HE and in academic coaching.
- Experience in a widening participation environment or as a teaching assistant.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Effective people, organisational, and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work flexibly across days, evenings, and weekends.

- Evidence of performance to the highest standards of professionalism within a student‑focused service approach.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Committed team player capable of working under pressure to tight timelines.
