Location: London, Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham (On-site)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the FM, other SFAs, Senior Student Success Tutors and other stakeholders, and take direct responsibility for the administration of students with complex needs and for groups of concern.
  • Line-manage FAOs in their duties (assessment submissions, action logs, withdrawals and authorised absences).
  • Ensure FAOs maintain timely and accurate record keeping.
  • Check shared data, live trackers and Moodle are updated and accurate through collaboration with level leaders and Associate Deans.
  • Complete faculty administration in preparation for missing credits, PAB, Programme Committee, External Examiners and APMR.

Qualifications:

  • Experience directing and overseeing administration functions with strong service delivery skills and a student-focused approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook Mail.
  • Experience working in a widening participation environment.
  • Ability to work independently and supervise as part of a team, with effective supervisory and people skills (active listening, excellent written and verbal communication and line management skills) and remarkable organisational and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to supervise handling of sensitive and personal information with tact and confidentiality, using initiative and judgement to resolve line management matters.
  • Ability to maintain successful working relationships with appropriate boundaries.
  • Ability to be flexible to work days, evenings and weekends as required.
