The Role: We are seeking lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels in our BA(Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. You will need flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Plan, deliver and assess student work to meet all learning outcomes
- Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate
- Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
- Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
- Stay current with developments in your field and student support practices
- Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You:
- Hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
- Have former UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
- Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
- Have experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records
- Can work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
- Can work with diverse groups of people
Desirable:
- Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commit to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years, or have a Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
- Have experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
