Location: Greenford or Stratford (On‑Site)

Salary: £55,000

Contract Type: Full‑Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

The role: Lecturers will teach across undergraduate levels as part of the BSc (Hons) Computing programme, delivering modules centred on Technology, Software, and Data. Flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials.
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods.
  • Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.

About You:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of at least two of: Programming and software development, Web development, Database systems, Cloud computing, Networking, Cybersecurity, IoT and emerging technologies, Business IT systems, IT management, AI and machine learning, Operating systems, UI/UX.
  • Supervise student work and provide support and feedback.
  • Accurately report and maintain thorough and organized student records.
  • Work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, and work well with diverse groups.

Desirable:

  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or be willing to enrol in such a programme within the probationary period.
  • Experience in designing/developing academic or professional education programmes.
