The Opportunity
We are partnered with a specialist fitâout and refurbishment cost consultancy widely recognised for delivering highâend commercial, workplace and interior environments for blueâchip corporates, global occupiers and premium landlords. With an established London presence and a strong reputation for quality, precision and client service, the consultancy is known for its ability to deliver fastâpaced, designâdriven projects where commercial rigour and stakeholder communication are paramount.
Their portfolio spans Grade A office refurbishments, Cat A and Cat B schemes, premium workplace environments, boutique commercial interiors and complex heritage refurbishments, often delivered within occupied or logistically constrained city environments. The business continues to grow organically, driven by repeat clients and a consistent pipeline of highâspecification commercial fitâouts across London.
The consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its London team, supporting the commercial delivery of highâend office fitâout and refurbishment projects across the capital. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior commercial leaders, designers, project managers and prestigious clients, contributing to all stages of cost planning and commercial management.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are costâeffective, commercially robust and delivered to the highest standards expected within London's premium commercial market.
Key Responsibilities
- Support fullâcycle cost management across highâend commercial fitâout and refurbishment schemes.
- Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates and feasibility assessments from early concept to construction stage.
- Assist with procurement strategies, tender documentation, contractor negotiation and bid evaluation.
- Manage valuations, variations, change control, cost reporting and postâcontract commercial tasks.
- Provide commercially driven advice to clients, design teams and project leaders.
- Contribute to value engineering, benchmarking and programme optimisation exercises.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and maintain highâquality commercial documentation.
Required Experience & Background
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or fitâout specialist environment.
- Exposure to commercial fitâout, Cat A, Cat B or highâend refurbishment projects.
- Strong grounding in both preâcontract and postâcontract cost management.
- Capable of working in fastâpaced, designâled environments with demanding stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in a clientâfacing role.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline; progression toward MRICS advantageous.
- Strong analytical and numerical capability with attention to detail.
- Confident interpreting drawings, specifications and design information.
- Strong organisational, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional, polished and able to articulate commercial insights clearly.
