Account Director - Design, Engineering & Architecture

We are looking for an experienced Account Director to lead key client relationships, manage senior recruitment processes and develop our growing presence across Design, Engineering and Architecture appointments throughout Ireland and Europe.

This is not a cold-start desk. GEDON has established a strong reputation for senior and strategic Commercial and Project Delivery appointments across Ireland, the UK, Europe and APAC, partnering with organisations ranging from specialist subcontractors and engineering businesses to international EPC contractors and global Project & Cost Advisory firms.

Increasingly, those same clients are asking us to support them with critical Design, Engineering and Architectural appointments. The clients already know us. The sectors already know us. The relationships already exist. And many of the candidates already sit within our wider network. We now want someone with the experience and commercial ability to take ownership of that opportunity.

The Role

This is a senior, revenue-generating position for someone who knows how to manage recruitment processes from initial client engagement through to successful acceptance.

You will develop and manage relationships with key decision-makers, identify hiring requirements, secure assignments and represent senior professionals throughout complex recruitment processes. You will be expected to close: understanding what motivates clients and candidates, maintaining momentum, navigating difficult conversations, managing offers and converting strong relationships into successful appointments and long-term revenue.

Alongside delivery, you will help develop GEDON's presence across Design, Engineering and Architecture and have considerable influence over how the specialism grows.

Who We're Looking For

We are interested in experienced recruitment professionals who can demonstrate approximately 7+ years within consultancy recruitment, alongside substantial experience recruiting across the construction, engineering, design or built-environment markets.

You will need to be comfortable operating with senior candidates and senior client stakeholders. More importantly, you need to be commercially driven: able to build trust, spot opportunities, influence decisions, manage sophisticated processes and turn conversations into revenue.
