WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECT EXPOSURE

You will be based in the company's Dublin office, working alongside an experienced commercial and project delivery team. The business operates with a dedicated site team who manage all on-site activities, meaning your focus will be on the commercial and contractual management of projects from the office environment, providing a structured and professional working setting. The projects you will work across are varied and technically interesting, ranging from bespoke high-end residential schemes through to large-scale mixed-use commercial developments and healthcare facilities. Contract values typically run up to €5 million per package, offering the opportunity to manage meaningful projects with real commercial substance at each stage of delivery. The team culture is collaborative and professional, with experienced senior staff available to provide guidance and mentorship. You will gain strong exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of specialist subcontract packages, working closely with estimating, project management and procurement functions throughout the process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full commercial lifecycle of specialist façade and glazing packages from award through to final account
  • Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations and claims in line with contract requirements
  • Identify, value and negotiate contract variations and ensure accurate change management records are maintained
  • Liaise with main contractors and clients on all commercial and contractual matters throughout the project
  • Monitor project costs and budgets, providing regular commercial reporting to the senior team
  • Support procurement activities including package letting and subcontractor management
  • Assist in the preparation of final accounts and ensure timely resolution of outstanding commercial matters

WHAT YOU NEED

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction discipline is essential
  • 2–4 years of post-graduate commercial experience within the construction or specialist subcontract sector
  • Previous experience working for a subcontractor or specialist trade contractor is desirable
  • A solid understanding of contract administration, variations and valuation processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage client and contractor relationships professionally
  • Well-organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in standard QS software and Microsoft Office suite
