The business is known for its collaborative approach, commercial integrity and ability to consistently secure repeat work from leading clients.

Operating across commercial fit-out, refurbishment and specialist engineering works, the contractor delivers projects within live environments, often under fast-track programmes and demanding stakeholder conditions. Continued growth has created the need to strengthen the senior commercial team with an experienced Commercial Manager.

The business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take full commercial responsibility for two to three concurrent live projects. This is a senior, hands-on role offering genuine autonomy and ownership from early procurement strategy through to final account.

You will act as the commercial lead on your projects, working closely with operational, design and senior leadership teams, while also managing and developing one to two Assistant Quantity Surveyors.

Projects are delivered across London and the wider UK and typically include:

  • Complex mechanical and electrical installation packages
  • Fast-track refurbishment and retrofit schemes
  • Technically challenging projects delivered within live environments
  • Medium to large-value projects involving multiple stakeholders and tight programmes

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of commercially significant schemes, influencing outcomes throughout the full project lifecycle.

  • Lead procurement strategies, ensuring value for money and strong supply chain relationships.
  • Manage change control, variations and commercial correspondence with clients and consultants.
  • Produce accurate and timely commercial reports for senior management.
  • Provide commercial advice and strategic input to project delivery teams.
  • Line manage and develop Assistant Quantity Surveyors, supporting progression and performance.
  • Promote best-practice commercial processes and continuous improvement across the business.

  • Strong track record managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • In-depth understanding of construction contracts, commercial management and procurement.
  • Experience managing and developing junior commercial team members.

  • Professional membership or working toward RICS, CIOB or equivalent.

What’s On Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience.
  • Exposure to high-profile, technically challenging projects.
