ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Our client is a well-established consultancy with three decades of continuous operation, specialising in Quantity Surveying and Project Management services delivered exclusively to private clients. Their longevity in the market is a reflection of the trust they have built with a discerning client base — relationships forged on precision, discretion and consistent excellence.

What sets this practice apart is their refusal to adopt a one-size-fits-all approach. Rather than applying generic processes across a broad client base, they work closely with each client to tailor every aspect of their service — from procurement strategy and contract selection to the way the team communicates and reports. The result is a consultancy that feels genuinely bespoke at every level.

Despite their focused, boutique positioning, the firm operates with the rigour and depth of knowledge you would expect from a much larger organisation. Their professionals bring expertise across a wide range of contracts and procurement routes, and are known for their inventive, solutions-driven approach to challenges that arise throughout the project lifecycle.

The practice continues to grow, driven by a strong repeat client base and an expanding pipeline of new instructions. This is a business at a compelling point in its evolution — investing in senior talent and creating genuine opportunities for ambitious professionals to take on meaningful responsibility and shape the direction of the team.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS

You will be joining a collaborative and close-knit team of Project Managers working across a portfolio of high-end residential schemes in Central London. The projects are characterised by their complexity, attention to detail and the high expectations of a sophisticated private client base — this is work that demands both technical rigour and exceptional client-facing skills.

The culture within the business is built on trust, autonomy and professional pride. Senior team members are given genuine ownership of their projects and client relationships, supported by experienced leadership that values quality outcomes over micromanagement. There is a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, and the team is encouraged to challenge conventional thinking and bring fresh ideas to every engagement.

In this role, you will work across the full project lifecycle — from initial feasibility and brief development through design management, procurement, construction delivery and final handover. The scope of involvement is broad and meaningful, offering the kind of exposure that accelerates professional development and builds genuine expertise across both technical and commercial disciplines.

The client relationships you will manage are long-standing and often highly personal in nature. Clients in this space expect a trusted advisor — someone who communicates clearly, anticipates problems, and consistently delivers an exceptional experience alongside a successful project outcome. This is an environment where your professional reputation matters and is actively cultivated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of three Project Managers across an active portfolio of high-end residential projects
  • Act as the primary point of contact for private clients, maintaining trusted relationships and delivering a premium service experience
  • Take full ownership of project delivery from inception through to completion, ensuring programme, budget and quality objectives are met
  • Oversee design management and coordination across multidisciplinary professional teams
  • Lead procurement processes, including contract selection, tender management and appointment of contractors and consultants
  • Manage risk, change control and project reporting throughout the lifecycle of each instruction
  • Maintain commercial oversight across all live projects, working closely with the QS function to drive value and control costs
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the team, including supporting and mentoring junior colleagues

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Proven track record as a Senior Project Manager within a consultancy or client-side environment
  • Strong experience delivering high-end residential or luxury-sector projects, ideally within London
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead project teams, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
  • Excellent client management skills, with experience handling demanding, high-expectation private clients
  • Broad knowledge of procurement routes, contract forms (JCT preferred) and project delivery methodologies
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets, programmes and change across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying); MRICS or MAPM desirable

WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN

This is a well-rewarded position offering a salary of £90,000 alongside a package befitting a senior role within an established and highly regarded practice. Beyond the financial package, you will gain genuine professional status — leading a team, managing a blue-chip private client portfolio and operating with a level of autonomy that is rare in roles at this level. The business offers a clear pathway for continued progression as the practice grows, and for the right candidate, this is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of the team.
