You will be joining an experienced commercial team working across a broad range of technically complex projects. Typical schemes include large-scale commercial office fit-outs and refurbishments, broadcast studios and media production environments, and mission-critical, high-specification workplace builds — often within live or technically sensitive settings.

The business operates with a fully integrated approach, with in-house design capabilities including BIM and CAD, which means the estimating function works closely with design and delivery teams from the earliest stages. Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed, accurate electrical estimates and tender submissions for a range of commercial projects
  • Review and interpret design drawings, specifications and tender documentation to produce competitive bids
  • Engage with supply chain partners, subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and evaluate quotations
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, providing informed commercial guidance during the bid process
  • Work closely with design, pre-construction and project delivery teams to ensure estimating accuracy and alignment with project requirements
  • Attend tender interviews, client presentations and pre-tender meetings where required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools and templates
  • Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team as the function grows

What You Need

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally at senior level within an MEP or specialist electrical contractor
  • Strong background estimating commercial fit-out, refurbishment or technically complex building projects
  • Excellent working knowledge of electrical systems, materials and installation methodology
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed design drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously to deadline
  • Proficiency with industry estimating software and standard Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to represent the business at tender stage
