Our client is seeking to appoint a Commercial Manager to join their UK division, based in Newcastle, playing a key role in the delivery of major, mission-critical projects. This position will report into senior commercial leadership, with responsibility for managing significant project packages and supporting the commercial strategy across complex builds.

Responsibilities- Manage the commercial function across major, mission-critical construction projects
- Oversee cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Drive procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with commercial frameworks
- Manage risk, variations, and change control processes
- Lead CVR reporting and maintain accurate financial performance tracking
- Negotiate subcontractor agreements and final accounts
- Collaborate closely with project and operational teams to ensure successful delivery
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Support dispute resolution and commercial decision-making
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor
- Strong background in delivering high-complexity or mission-critical projects
- Excellent commercial acumen and financial management capability
- Experience managing large-scale project packages
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and procurement strategies
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
A highly competitive salary of approximately £150,000, supported by a comprehensive package including bonus, pension, and additional benefits.
