You will be based out of the London office, working closely with a senior commercial team responsible for delivering some of the most complex M&E packages in the capital. The projects you will be exposed to are typically high-value, technically intricate and delivered within highly regulated or sensitive operational environments.

As Senior QS, you will gain end-to-end exposure across the commercial lifecycle, including pre-construction input, procurement strategy, subcontract management, change control, valuations and final account negotiation. You will engage regularly with clients, design teams, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders, providing a well-rounded experience and excellent foundation for stepping into a Commercial Manager role.

- Lead the full commercial delivery of M&E packages across complex healthcare, life sciences and high-security government projects
- Manage procurement strategy, subcontract negotiation, appointments and ongoing supply chain performance
- Oversee monthly valuations, applications for payment, cost reporting, forecasting and final accounts
- Drive change control processes, including identification, valuation and agreement of variations and compensation events
- Provide accurate commercial reporting and risk analysis to senior leadership and the wider project team
- Support pre-construction activities including estimating input, value engineering and contract review
- Mentor and develop junior commercial staff, providing technical guidance and supporting their progression
Proven track record as an M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or specialist M&E contractor. Demonstrable experience delivering complex, high-value M&E packages on technically demanding projects. Sector experience within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, data centre, defence or other mission-critical environments is highly desirable. Strong understanding of standard forms of contract, including JCT and NEC, and confident managing change and final accounts. Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills and ability to manage high-value subcontract packages. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline (MRICS desirable but not essential). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ambition to progress into Commercial Management.
