Working Environment & Projects
You will be joining a high-performing project delivery team responsible for a varied portfolio of MEP schemes currently progressing through the business. The role will see you take ownership of key projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover, working alongside experienced senior leadership and a strong internal supply chain.
Projects within the pipeline include a major large-scale student accommodation development, alongside a number of commercial and residential schemes at various stages of delivery. This provides genuine variety, technical challenge and the opportunity to work across a broad mix of building types, services scopes and client environments.
The working culture is collaborative, solutions-focused and delivery-driven. Teams are empowered to take ownership of their projects, supported by clear systems, well-established processes and a leadership team that prioritises quality, safety and programme certainty. There is also a strong focus on building lasting relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.
You will gain exposure to the full MEP project lifecycle, from early-stage design coordination and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover. Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the delivery of MEP packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover
- Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement and resource planning to ensure successful project outcomes
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and internal commercial and engineering colleagues across all phases of delivery
- Lead client, consultant and main contractor meetings, acting as the key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee design coordination, technical reviews and value engineering to drive efficiency and buildability
- Manage commercial performance in conjunction with the QS team, including cost control, change management and reporting
- Ensure all works are delivered to the required standards of quality, health & safety and compliance
- Support the development and mentoring of junior project staff within the wider delivery team
What You Need
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager delivering MEP works on UK construction projects
- Strong technical background across mechanical, electrical and / or public health services
- Experience delivering projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, fit-out or similar sectors — student accommodation experience is highly desirable
- Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of the full project lifecycle
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, supply chain partners and site teams in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications in building services, engineering or construction management, along with applicable industry certifications
