About the Role
The ideal candidate will be looking to further their experience and skills base in a practical workplace environment, working as a member of our multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will be a qualified landscape architect, or working towards chartership, with skills in production of landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA), landscape design at all levels, masterplans, capacity studies and other outputs in relation to landscape architecture and strategic planning commissions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Working as part of our team to produce drawings and other technical documentation, including concise reports using appropriate software at various stages of development.
- Effective time keeping, good communication, excellent report writing and the ability to manage multiple tasks across a range of projects will be skills essential to the role.
- The ability to work effectively and constructively within a project team and also to be able to work well independently when delegated tasks is also essential.
- Preparing and writing our range of market leading supporting reports used to secure planning permission as well as helping with the co-ordination and preparation of the planning input for our range of design and promotional products. Training and mentoring will be provided on our approach.
- Co-ordination and preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments for client proposals when required.
- Maintain communication and negotiation with planning authorities and stakeholders about solutions to meet our client’s project requirements including securing appropriate planning conditions and planning obligations.
- Assisting our project managers in the co-ordination and delivery of commissioned work, including specifying, producing and reviewing work to resolve or address specific planning policy matters.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in Landscape Architecture.
- Outstanding graphic skills including the use of the full range of design packages (VectorWorks (preferably) or AutoCad, the full Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp).
- Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- The ability to work under direction from senior colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ post qualification working in a relevant landscape architecture role.
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute, or on the Pathway to Chartership.
Preferred Skills
- Produce or oversee the production of drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software, with necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development for LVIA, planning and design projects.
- Utilise your skills to embed placemaking and climate resilience into our projects, developing design solutions and strategies for a range of projects encompassing residential, mixed use and commercial masterplan commissions.
- Assisting our project managers in the preparation of feasibility, design, planning and other documentation, as required, including contributing to the preparation of submissions and fee proposals.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary is negotiable and will be dependent on the experience of the candidate. The company provides an annual bonus, 36 days annual leave, pension scheme and private health insurance.
