Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with a modern independent retail travel agency who combine classic travel sales with dynamic packaging and tailor-made holiday design. They are looking for a Retail Travel Consultant to join their team to provide expert travel advice and create tailored holiday experiences for customers.
The Role:
As Retail Travel Consultant, you will support customers with their travel enquiries in-store, over the phone, and online by offering personalised advice and turning enquiries into confirmed bookings. You will sell a wide range of travel products including package holidays, cruise, tailor-made itineraries, and dynamically packaged holidays while ensuring all bookings are accurate and delivered with excellent service.
You Will Have:
- Minimum 12 months' experience in a retail travel or travel sales environment (essential)
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Understanding or exposure to dynamic packaging systems
- Knowledge of cruise, long-haul, or tailor-made holidays (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Commercial awareness and understanding of customer value and margins
- Confident using booking systems, Microsoft Office, and digital tools
Additional Info:
- Full-time role including weekend working on a rota basis (closed on Sundays)
- Fully office based in new, modern retail agency in North West Leicestershire
- Salary £25-27,000 plus commission (OTE £32-35,000)
