Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with a luxury tour operator based in South West London who are recruiting an Africa Travel Consultant to join their team.
The Role: As Africa Travel Consultant, you will handle inbound enquiries, design bespoke long‑haul itineraries, and provide expert destination guidance across key regions across Africa. You will take ownership of the sales process from initial contact through to post‑booking care, ensuring a seamless customer experience. The role also includes supporting the growth of emerging destinations, contributing to product development discussions, collaborating with internal teams, and attending relevant supplier events and training sessions to stay up to date with market developments.
You Will Have:
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a tailor‑made travel sales role
- Experience selling Africa or first‑hand travel experience within the region
- Proven sales ability with excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Organised, proactive, and positive approach
- Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and CRM systems
- Genuine commitment to outstanding customer service
Additional Info:
- Generous basic salary of circa £30-40,000 plus team and individual commission
- Hybrid working model (3 days in the office in South West London and 2 days working from home)
