Sales Operations Coordinator

Gecko Glazing | Edinburgh | Full-time | Six-month fixed-term contract

Salary: £26,000–£27,500 annual salary, depending on experience, paid pro rata for the six-month contract.

This is an entry-level opportunity suited to someone starting a commercial career or bringing transferable experience from another customer-facing role. A business, management or marketing degree could be useful, but it isn’t essential.

What you’ll do

Your main focus will be helping customers move from their first enquiry towards the right next step, while supporting the coordination that keeps things moving behind the scenes.

Customers and sales

• Speak with customers by phone and email, understand their needs and explain our products and options.
• Prepare initial estimates, support quotations and orders, and follow up enquiries.
• Reconnect with customers who previously expressed an interest.
• Keep customer records and next steps accurate in HubSpot.

Most of the people you contact will already have enquired or shown an interest in Gecko. You’ll need to be comfortable picking up the phone, asking useful questions and following through proactively.

Partnerships and operations

• Support our Head of Partnerships with communication and coordination involving surveyors and installers.
• Help organise surveys and installations, track progress and keep relevant people updated.
• Follow up missing information and flag delays or issues early.
• Help our managers keep customer handovers and day-to-day tasks organised.

Marketing support

• Help respond to social media enquiries and customer reviews.
• Feed customer questions and feedback into the sales and marketing team.
• Support email campaigns and other marketing activity when needed.

You don’t need previous glazing experience. Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, sales or coordinating activities can all be relevant.

The role starts as a six-month fixed-term contract. There may be scope for it to continue or develop depending on business needs and your performance, although this is not guaranteed.
