The Maintenance Technician will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Supervises: N/A

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant.
  • Preventative maintenance/repair tasks on mobile equipment.
  • Preventive maintenance/repair tasks on furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment and processes.
  • Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime.
  • Completing work orders & PM paperwork.
  • Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
  • Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.

Requirements:

  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
  • Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities.

Competencies:

  • Follow all safety rules, regulations and policies of the company.
  • Self-starter, dependable and work well with other team members.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
