Shift Pattern Availability: 4 / 7 Shift: NIGHT SHIFT 6:00PM – 6:00AM
Location: Barrow Upon Soar, LE12 8LD
Salary: £13.15 per hour, once upskilled increases to £13.50 per hour (full training is provided) + £1ph Premium added to hours between 10pm – 4am
The Role
Our Operatives are (quite literally) the bread and butter of Geary’s. You’re responsible for ensuring the environment in which we produce and package our delicious bread is clean and food safe at all times. Your main responsibilities include:
- Carrying out tasks set out by the team leader/ supervisor.
- Be vigilant in keeping all areas tidy and clean.
- To be an example for H&S and food safety practices while carrying out tasks.
- Carrying out deep cleaning to the expected standard and beyond while maintaining H&S regulations.
- Have a positive attitude towards difficult situations.
- Have a consistent habit of reporting findings with regards to near misses, food safety concerns, foreign bodies and any damages to plant or fabrications.
- Sufficient communication skills to liaise between other departments and hygiene team leader.
- Have a sense of care towards all equipment that is being used by the technician or being worked on by the technician.
- Be punctual and have a good attendance record.
- Have an ambition to develop to next level and learn new skills.
You’ll be moving around a busy bakery, carrying out manual and non-manual tasks, which may be physically demanding at times.
