Shift Pattern Availability: 4 / 7

Shift: NIGHT SHIFT 6:00PM - 6:00AM

Location: Barrow Upon Soar, LE12 8LD

Salary: £13.15 per hour, once upskilled increases to £13.50 per hour (full training is provided) + £1 premium added to hours between 10pm - 4am

The Role

Our Operatives are (quite literally) the bread and butter of Geary's. You are responsible for ensuring the environment in which we produce and package our delicious bread is clean and food safe at all times. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out tasks set out by the team leader/supervisor.
  • Being vigilant in keeping all areas tidy and clean.
  • Carrying out deep cleaning to the expected standard and beyond while maintaining hygiene.
  • Having a positive attitude towards difficult situations.
  • Consistently reporting findings regarding near misses, food safety concerns, foreign bodies, and any damages to plant or fabrications.
  • Having sufficient communication skills to liaise between other departments and the hygiene team leader.
  • Having a sense of care towards all equipment that is being used or worked on by the technician.
  • Being punctual and having a good attendance record.
  • Having an ambition to develop to the next level and learn.
