Rate: £14.23ph + £1ph for Nights, 10pm – 4am
The Role
Our Finishing/Packing Team Leaders at Geary’s ensure the delicious bread we produce is packaged and labelled accurately, whilst meeting all of our high-quality standards. Your main responsibilities include:
- Driving a strong, non-compromising Health and Safety culture
- Adhering to a daily plan and communicating a daily shift report to the wider business
- Ensuring the Finishing Operatives adhere to all processes and controls, including Health and Safety and Food Safety measures
- Ensuring all machinery and equipment is safe to use and any damage is reported promptly
- Meeting business KPIs
- Liaising with labour agencies and providing feedback on performance and service level
- Effectively communicating with other departments in the wider business
You’ll be moving around a busy bakery, carrying out manual and non-manual tasks, which may be physically demanding at times.

About You

- Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing (even better if it was in a bakery)
- Experience in leading and supporting a team of people (no matter how big or small)
- Good IT skills (ability to use full Office package, including Excel)

- Resilience and tenacity to drive motivation
- Flexible approach to working hours
Desirable but not essential:
Experience from within a mechanical engineering background
Experience in manufacturing (even better if it was in a bakery)
Good understanding of Food Safety and Health and Safety (the important bits!)
