Gearset is on a mission to revolutionise DevOps, and central to that mission is a deep, data-driven understanding of how our users interact with our product. We’re looking for a Senior Product Analyst who balances technical rigor with a sharp product sense to help us scale.
You won’t just be crunching numbers in a silo; you’ll be an influential partner to our Engineering and Product teams, transforming raw telemetry into the strategic narratives that shape our roadmap.
As a Product Analyst at Gearset, you’ll play a foundational role in ensuring our product data is accurate, accessible, and actionable. Operating within our growing SaaS organisation, you will act as the vital bridge between Engineering, Product, and Data teams. This isn't just about reporting; it’s about fostering a data-driven approach. You will help us capture high-quality telemetry, maintain trusted metrics, and deliver the insights that allow us to improve our customers’ experience and drive significant business outcomes in the DevOps space.
What you’ll achieve:
- Translate data into narrative: You will turn complex event data into meaningful business metrics - like activation, retention, and churn — that reflect real-world customer behaviour.
- Drive product strategy: By delivering comprehensive deep-dive analyses, you’ll identify opportunities for product improvements and partner with Product Managers to measure the impact of new features and Product‑Led Growth (PLG) initiatives.
- Enable self‑serve analytics: You’ll partner with Data Engineering to model data in our warehouse and build accessible dashboards in Amplitude and Omni, empowering teams across Gearset to explore data independently.
- Architect trusted product data: You’ll collaborate with Engineering to provide guidance on event tracking and documentation strategy, ensuring that the definitions and quality of tracked events support reliable, long‑term analysis.
- Establish visibility: You’ll set up monitoring and alerting for significant shifts in data volumes and present trends to stakeholders, ensuring data‑driven understanding informs decisions across all product areas.
About you:
- You don't just provide data; you provide insights that lead to clear, actionable recommendations for growth and engagement.
- You have hands‑on experience using dbt to model data in a modern cloud data warehouse (such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
- You are able to generate insights into user behaviour with a product analytics tool (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel, Adobe Analytics).
- You thrive when working cross‑functionally with other departments and stakeholders.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary is between £65‑75k (depending on experience). This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday remotely within the UK. Generous personal development budget for courses, conferences, or whatever is useful to your professional development in the role of up to £1,500 per year. Top‑end hardware provided. Opportunity to join our Long Term Incentive Plan. 25 days holiday plus.
