An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major programme of water and wastewater projects. This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting a substantial AMP8 programme, with a strong pipeline of projects providing excellent continuity for the right person.
The Role
- Managing and coordinating civil engineering activities across multiple projects
- Providing technical and engineering support to Project Managers and site teams
- Reviewing drawings, designs, specifications and technical submissions
- Managing RFIs, design queries and engineering issues
- Coordinating designers, subcontractors and supply-chain partners
- Supporting construction planning, sequencing and buildability reviews
- Managing civil interfaces with MEICA and other engineering disciplines
- Ensuring works comply with specifications, quality requirements and relevant standards
- Supporting RAMS, temporary works and technical documentation
- Monitoring engineering progress against programme
- Supporting commissioning, handover and project close-out
- Identifying and resolving technical issues that could impact programme or delivery
Ideally, you will have:
- Strong civil engineering and project delivery experience
- Previous experience within the UK water or wastewater sector
- Experience delivering projects on treatment works, pumping stations, process facilities or other operational sites
- Good knowledge of design coordination and construction delivery
- Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or established specialist contractor
- Experience managing subcontractors and engineering packages
- The ability to coordinate multiple projects or workstreams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A relevant Civil Engineering qualification
