Senior Project Manager – Process / Water Engineering Location: Snodland / South East England Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 + Package Employment Type: Permanent Sector: Water, Wastewater, Process Engineering & MEICA Gearing Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join an established process engineering contractor, delivering major projects across the South East water sector. This is a senior delivery and leadership opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who has a strong background in water, wastewater, process engineering or MEICA and is ready to take ownership of larger, more complex schemes or multiple projects. You’ll play a key role in leading project delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover, working across multidisciplinary teams and managing the interfaces between engineering, construction, commercial, commissioning and the wider supply chain. The Role As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of major or multiple water and wastewater projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, commercially and to programme. You’ll provide leadership across project teams, working closely with senior client stakeholders, designers, commercial teams, site management and specialist subcontractors to manage delivery, resolve challenges and drive projects forward. Key Responsibilities * Lead the delivery of multiple process/MEICA-led water projects or larger, complex schemes across the South East. * Take ownership of programme, budget, quality, health & safety, risk and client relationships across your projects. * Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across MEICA, process, civil, construction and commissioning disciplines. * Manage key project interfaces and ensure effective coordination between design, construction, commissioning and the supply chain. * Work closely with commercial teams to manage NEC contracts, change, variations, risk and commercial performance. * Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams and specialist subcontractors where required. * Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client-side project, engineering and operational stakeholders. * Oversee procurement, project reporting, programme management and delivery strategy. * Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and changes throughout the project lifecycle. * Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with CDM, RAMS, permits, quality standards and project governance requirements. About You We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager or an established Project Manager ready to step into a more senior position, with: * Proven experience delivering projects within water, wastewater, utilities, process engineering or a similar environment. * Strong technical understanding of MEICA, with the ability to manage complex civil, process and engineering interfaces. * Experience delivering capital works, treatment works, pumping stations, process upgrades or similar water infrastructure projects. * Strong understanding of NEC contracts, including change, risk and commercial management. * Experience managing larger or multiple projects, multidisciplinary teams and complex supply chains. * The confidence to engage with and influence senior client stakeholders. * Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to manage project budgets and performance. * Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. * SMSTS, CSCS and a relevant engineering/construction qualification would be advantageous. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East.
