We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Site Manager to join a major water infrastructure project based at Gallows Corner, Romford. The successful candidate will have a strong background delivering civil engineering works within the water industry and will have previous experience managing pipeline installations, excavations, and Temporary Works (TW). You will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of site activities, ensuring works are completed to programme while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
  • Oversee pipeline installation, excavation, and associated civil engineering activities.
  • Manage and coordinate Temporary Works, ensuring compliance with approved designs and procedures.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues to maintain project deadlines.
  • Liaise with the client, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout the project.
  • Complete site documentation, inspections, and daily reporting.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workforce compliance with health and safety requirements.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience as a Civil Site Manager within the water industry.
  • Proven experience managing pipeline works, excavations, and Temporary Works.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple work activities.

  • EUSR SHEA Water (Modules 1 & 2)
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
  • First Aid at Work
