Role: Project Manager OUTSIDE IR35 Industry: Water (AMP 8) Start Date: ASAP Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join their water division on a immediate freelance basis. The Project Manager will organize resources and oversee the management of designated infrastructure projects to ensure progressive project completion, meeting quality and specification standards within budget. Ideally, you will be based in or around the London area and have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects within the Thames Water region. What you will be doing: * Direct the necessary labour, plant, staff, and equipment to ensure project and plot completion on time, to specification, and within budget. * Ensure the site is well-organized and maintained in good order. * Lead and support various disciplines throughout the construction process. * Train and develop team members to meet current and future project demands. * Communicate effectively with the construction team and provide clear direction to members as needed. * Monitor the Buying team and Surveying department to ensure the correct materials and sub-contract services are ordered in time to meet project objectives. * Provide direction and instructions to managers, and challenge when necessary to achieve project goals. * Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and the Group Safety Policy. * Manage site teams by regularly monitoring performance against contract targets and implementing corrective actions as required. * Ensure staff and operatives are effectively managed, fostering a working environment that promotes high morale and productivity. * Support the team in achieving maximum scores during the twice-monthly Health and Safety audits. * Ensure training and development goals are met at annual appraisal and review stages. About You: * CSCS Card at Senior Site Manager level * Valid SMSTS certificate * Valid First Aid at Work certificate * NVQ Level 4, BTEC diploma minimum in engineering or a similar domain * Experience working within the water industry on infrastructure projects
