An established civil engineering contractor is looking for a Project Manager to lead a recently awarded £20m town centre improvement scheme. The nature of works includes drainage, paving, section 278, street furniture and a new pre-cast steel fabricated canopy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of project, from ECI through to completion
- Client-facing role – manage relationships and represent the business professionally
- Work closely with estimating and delivery teams on bids, pricing and risk/opportunity
- Oversee subcontractors, site teams and progress reporting
- Develop and manage baseline programmes using Microsoft Project
- Ensure commercial and contractual responsibilities are met
Ideal Background:
- Civil engineering background (highways, specifically within a major project environment)
- Experience managing jobs up to £20m
- Strong Microsoft Project skills essential
- Familiarity with public-facing projects or client-side interaction (councils, National Highways)
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
- Able to create and manage CPPs
