GRS are recruiting for Electrical Field Service Engineers to join a fast-growing engineering business delivering electrical, controls and automation services across industrial and utility sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for electrically qualified engineers looking for a varied role combining fault finding, commissioning, maintenance and customer support across a wide range of electrical and control systems.

The Role

Working within the field service team, you will be responsible for attending customer sites to carry out maintenance, fault finding, repairs, commissioning and technical support activities on electrical and control systems. The position offers excellent earning potential through a structured call-out and overtime package.

Responsibilities

  • Fault finding and repair of electrical and control systems.
  • Service, maintenance and breakdown support.
  • Commissioning and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose control system and panel faults.
  • Produce service reports and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical support to customers on site.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Requirements

  • Electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • Experience working on industrial electrical systems.
  • Ability to fault find using electrical drawings.
  • Control panel, PLC or automation experience would be advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills.

Package

  • Competitive basic salary.
  • Core hours: 07:00 – 15:30.
  • 1 in 4 call-out rota.
  • Payment for each on-call week.
  • Payment per call-out attended.
  • Overtime paid at:
    • Time and a half up to midnight.
    • Double time after midnight.
  • Annual salary reviews.
  • Excellent opportunities for progression.
