Principal EICA Engineer - Water Location: Home based, with Manchester meetings and UK site visits
Contract: Until June 2027
Rate: Β£500-Β£600 per day, depending on experience and IR35 assessment
Hours: 40 hours per week GRS is recruiting a Principal EICA Engineer to support the delivery of major UK water and wastewater projects. This is predominantly home based, although candidates must be available for site surveys, Factory Acceptance Tests and meetings in Manchester approximately two or three times per month. Responsibilities Lead electrical, instrumentation and control design activities.
Produce outline and detailed EICA design documentation.
Review and approve engineering deliverables.
Prepare equipment specifications, requisitions and installation scopes.
Review supplier quotations and complete technical bid assessments.
Attend site surveys and Factory Acceptance Tests.
Ensure designs comply with specifications, legislation and applicable standards.
Support construction, commissioning and multidisciplinary project teams.
Allocate work and monitor delivery against programme. Requirements Extensive recent UK water-sector EICA design experience.
Approximately 15 years relevant engineering experience.
Degree, apprenticeship or equivalent electrical, electronic or control engineering qualification.
Chartered or Incorporated status, or demonstrable progress towards it.
Strong client-facing and technical leadership capabilities.
Knowledge of WIMES, ATEX, CE/UKCA compliance and relevant UK legislation.
Able to travel for occasional Manchester meetings and site visits. Outside-IR35 engagement may be considered subject to formal assessment and supporting documentation. TPBN1_UKTJ
