Rate: £350-£450 per day, depending on experience and IR35 assessment

GRS is recruiting two Senior Civil/Structural BIM/CAD Designers to support civil and structural design delivery across UK water projects. The successful candidates will produce and develop coordinated 2D and 3D design deliverables, working with limited supervision within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Develop civil and structural designs from concept through to detailed design.
- Produce 3D BIM models, technical drawings and design sketches.
- Use Revit for modelling and drawing extraction.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D for civil-design elements.
- Work effectively within a Common Data Environment.
- Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure deliverables meet programme, budget and quality requirements.
- Apply relevant design codes, standards and project procedures.
- Support and delegate design tasks where appropriate.
Requirements
- City & Guilds, HNC, HND or equivalent civil/structural qualification.
- Strong Revit, AutoCAD and ideally Civil 3D capability.
- Experience producing water-sector civil or structural deliverables.
- Competence designing and detailing foundations, drainage, underground infrastructure, cable ducting, steelwork and concrete.
- Reinforced-concrete detailing experience is advantageous.
- Experience of clash detection, 4D simulation or construction sequencing is beneficial.
- EngTech or IEng status would be advantageous.
