We are recruiting for a Scoping Engineer to join a growing Pre-Construction team, supporting major water and wastewater projects across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire. This is a long-term opportunity for an engineer with a Mechanical or Process bias (although Electrical engineers will also be considered) who enjoys getting out onto site, understanding existing assets and developing practical, buildable engineering solutions.
The Role
- Visiting water and wastewater treatment sites to carry out engineering surveys.
- Assessing existing mechanical, process or electrical assets.
- Defining project scope and identifying engineering requirements.
- Reviewing constructability and determining the safest and most efficient way to deliver the works.
- Identifying project risks, constraints and opportunities.
- Working closely with design engineers to develop practical engineering solutions.
- Liaising with estimating teams to ensure every element of the project has been identified and accurately priced.
- Supporting feasibility studies, optioneering and early-stage engineering decisions.
- Producing clear technical scope documents and engineering reports.
- Providing technical support to delivery teams as projects move into construction.
Ideally you’ll have experience in: UK Water or Wastewater.
