We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a growing engineering contractor delivering works across the water, utilities and industrial sectors. This role will support the Project Manager in the delivery of multiple site-based projects from initial survey and technical scoping stages through to installation, commissioning and handover. The position would suit someone with an engineering background who is looking to further develop their project delivery experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Attending client sites to carry out surveys for new and existing project requirements
- Assisting with technical scoping and compiling detailed site survey information including photographs and site records
- Supporting preparation of quotations, project scopes and costings alongside the Project Manager
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
- Assisting with procurement of materials and coordination of subcontractor activities
- Supporting preparation of RAMS and project-specific health & safety documentation
- Attending client and site meetings where required
- Assisting with coordination and supervision of site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Ensuring subcontractors comply with approved RAMS and site procedures
- Supporting commissioning activities and QA documentation
- Liaising with operational and workshop teams during project delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience within a Project Engineer, Site Engineer or similar role
- Engineering background within water, utilities, industrial or process sectors
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and support project delivery activities
- Full UK driving licence

- Experience within utilities, industrial or process environments
