Design Manager - Water Industry
A leading Tier-1 contractor delivering specialist projects within the water industry is looking to appoint a Design Manager based in its Midlands office. This role will lead the development of innovative, cost-effective technical solutions.

Duties for Design Manager:
- Lead and support multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions.
- Ensure the development of cost-effective design solutions that align with the scope of work and project budgets.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership in the design process.
- Systematically record, monitor, and control design changes to maximise cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support and mentor design managers and engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular design review meetings to monitor progress and address any challenges proactively.
Qualifications/Experience for Design Manager:
- HNC/HND/Degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent
- Experience working within water or similar process‑driven environment
- Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
- Eligible to work in the UK
