We are currently working with a Tier 1 Delivery contractor, looking to appoint a MEICA Project Engineer with a strong bias towards scoping and pre-construction activities to support the development of projects across water and wastewater frameworks. This role would suit someone from a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering background who enjoys early-stage project involvement, defining scope, assessing risk, and shaping projects before they go to site.
The Role
You will play a key role in the front-end development of schemes, working closely with designers, construction teams, and commercial departments to ensure projects are well-defined, buildable, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking site visits and asset condition assessments
- Developing detailed scope documents and engineering reports
- Defining project requirements in collaboration with client stakeholders
- Identifying risks, constraints and constructability considerations
- Supporting outline design development and technical solutions
- Assisting with cost estimates and programme input
- Liaising with design teams across Mechanical, Electrical and Civil disciplines
- Supporting tender documentation and handover into delivery teams
About You
- Background in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
- Experience within water / wastewater or utilities infrastructure
- Strong understanding of MEICA installations and site-based constraints
- Comfortable working in early project lifecycle / feasibility stages
- Able to interpret drawings, specifications and asset data
- Commercially aware with strong communication skills
