A specialist contractor delivering industrial, utilities and water sector projects is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer. You will support the design and estimation of electrical works, taking ownership of defined packages under their agreed frameworks. Duties for Electrical Design Engineer
- Develop detailed and outline designs, as well as specifications for electrical works (LV distribution, controls, MCCs, cabling, automation, and instrumentation).
- Providing technical input on a daily basis to contribute to the team of engineers and technicians.
- Ensure that the design output meets the agreed scope of work, as well as the budgets and timescales.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from other disciplines to meet project requirements and add value to the client.
- Attend design review meetings to monitor progress.
Qualifications/Experience for Electrical Design Engineer
- HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience working within water or similar process-driven environment
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign
- Contractual and commercial knowledge
- Eligible to work in the UK
