Our client is looking to employ a freelance Site Agent for a AMP 8 major infrastructure project in the Basingstoke area.

You will assist the Senior Agent in managing the initial ECI phase into delivery and handover, ensuring that they are completed in the most effective manner; maintaining customer satisfaction and without compromising health and safety or environmental factors.

  • You will report directly to the Senior Agent on site, and your duties will include:
  • Assisting with the Project Management strategy.
  • Assisting in the production of lookahead programmes; reporting on these to key stakeholders and producing progress reports.
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Liaising with site management on design and procurement issues.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the construction completion and take-over documentation.
  • Taking all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.
  • Technical coordination between engineering and supply chain partners.
  • Challenging all stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, doing something differently, and improving working practices to realize opportunities and minimize risk – both to safety and commercial performance.
  • Working closely with Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans, input commitments, and monitor project out-turn costs, reporting any variations to the PM and assisting in the preparation of mitigation plans.
  • Managing a team of engineers and site-based managers

About The Candidate

  • At least 3 years experience as a Site Agent
  • Experience of delivering NEC3 contracts
  • Experience with the EA's SHEW Co P
  • Experience creating CPP's under CDM 2015 regulations
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline
  • Previous experience within Heavy Civils is a necessity; preferably environmental or water treatment experience (infra or non-infra)
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS Preferable
