Were looking for a Warehouse Maintenance Engineer to join our new distribution site based in Sherburn-in-Elmet, supporting the maintenance, reliability and safety of our warehouse equipment and facilities. The Role As a Warehouse Maintenance Engineer, youll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of warehouse systems and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and safe operation. Youll work closely with Operations and Health & Safety teams to support a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, fault-finding and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on warehouse equipment and facilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime Support the maintenance of automated systems including conveyor systems, goods to person retrieval systems, and packing systems. Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work Support contractor management and oversee third-party maintenance activities where required Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and preventative maintenance Support site compliance with statutory inspections and safety checks Respond to breakdowns in a timely and effective manner About You Youll be a practical, reliable engineer whos comfortable working in a busy warehouse or industrial environment and understands the importance of safety, quality and teamwork.
