Were looking for a Warehouse Maintenance Engineer to join our new distribution site based in Sherburn-in-Elmet, supporting the maintenance, reliability and safety of our warehouse equipment and facilities.
The RoleAs a Warehouse Maintenance Engineer, youll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of warehouse systems and equipment to ensure minimal downtime and safe operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Supporting the maintenance of automated systems including conveyor systems, goods to person retrieval systems, and packing systems.
- Supporting contractor management and overseeing third-party maintenance activities where required.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and logs.
- Identifying opportunities for equipment improvements and preventative maintenance.
- Supporting site compliance with statutory inspections and safety checks.
Youll be a practical, reliable engineer whos comfortable working in a busy warehouse or industrial environment and understands the importance of safety, quality and teamwork. You should have:
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a warehouse, distribution or industrial environment.
- A mechanical or electrical engineering qualification.
- A multi-skilled (mechanical and electrical) background.
- CompTIA A+ entry level IT certification.
- IPAF licence and PASMA qualification.
