Job Description
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Warehouse Operatives to join our friendly team at our Bacup distribution centre. You will be supporting our growing warehouse operations. This is a fast-paced role where you will help shape the customer experience, working as part of an energetic and supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Goods In
- Receiving deliveries
- Checking and booking in stock
- Unloading containers
- Liaising with other departments to resolve stock queries
- Warehouse Stock replenishment
- Problem solving stock issues
- General warehouse duties
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Forklift duties (training provided)
- Using Excel and our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to resolve stock issues
- Ensuring Health and Safety standards are always maintained
- Creating custom cables (training provided)
- Despatch
- Picking and packing orders for customers worldwide
- Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail when picking and packing orders
- Presenting parcels to a professional standard to achieve excellent customer satisfaction
What We Are Looking For
- Previous warehouse experience is not essential
- Strong team player
- Good communication skills
- Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Self-motivated
- Methodical approach to work
- Good level of physical fitness
Working Hours
40 hours per week, worked across five out of seven days (Monday to Sunday). Standard shifts: 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, and 10:00 to 16:30 on Saturdays (one Saturday per month required). Flexibility required during the busy Christmas period, including occasional extended shifts. Full training and personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots, will be provided.
