Gear4music is one of the world’s leading online retailers of musical instruments and music equipment, helping musicians across Europe and beyond find the products they need to create, perform and enjoy music. Founded in 2003, our mission has always been simple: to make buying and playing musical instruments easier, more accessible and more affordable for musicians at every level. Today, we offer more than 64,000 products to customers in 190 countries through 20 localised websites, supported by a team of around 500 people across five countries. In 2022, we also launched AV.com, expanding our expertise into home cinema, HiFi and accessories. We’re now entering an exciting next phase of growth, investing in our brand, content and marketing capabilities as we continue to grow across Europe. This role is a great opportunity to join a creative, ambitious team and play a hands‑on part in shaping the content that brings Gear4music to life.

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Video Editor to join us on a fixed‑term contract for 3–6 months. This is a hands‑on editing role in a busy, fast‑moving creative environment. You’ll be working across a wide range of video content, from social‑first edits to longer‑form projects, helping us create engaging, polished content for musicians and music lovers. You’ll be confident taking a brief and managing your own edits from first assembly through to final delivery. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, make strong creative decisions, and keep projects moving without compromising on quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of video edits from brief through to final delivery
  • Manage multiple projects at once, balancing pace, quality and deadlines
  • Edit video content for digital platforms, social media and wider marketing channels
  • Carry out colour grading and finishing using DaVinci Resolve
  • Create motion graphics and visual enhancements using Adobe After Effects
  • Retouch and prepare visual assets using Adobe Photoshop
  • Keep project files, assets and workflows organised and easy to manage
  • Work closely with the wider creative and marketing team, while managing your own day‑to‑day workload

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a confident, capable editor who understands how to tell a story through video. You know how to shape pacing, narrative and audience engagement — whether you’re cutting a 30‑second social clip or a longer‑form piece of content. You’re comfortable working at pace, juggling multiple edits, and making smart decisions quickly. You’ll be someone who takes pride in their craft, cares about the details, and knows how to protect quality even when deadlines are tight. You won’t need hand‑holding, but you will enjoy being part of a collaborative team that’s passionate about creating great content.

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years professional video editing experience
  • Expert‑level skills in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Intermediate skills in DaVinci Resolve, particularly colour grading and finishing
  • Intermediate skills in Adobe After Effects, including motion graphics
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong editorial judgement and storytelling ability
  • Experience delivering high‑quality video content to tight deadlines
  • Experience creating content for digital and social media platforms
  • A background in a fast‑paced in‑house, agency or production environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong file management habits

What We’ll Give You

  • Generous discount scheme across our full range of music and home entertainment products.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, offering 24/7 caring & compassionate support across a wide range of areas.
  • Access to 30 qualified Mental Health First Aiders across the business, demonstrating our commitment to prioritising mental health & wellbeing support as a ‘Mindful Employer’.
  • Free car parking with access to electric charging points.
  • Our modern office space features an onsite café and bar where we hold regular social events.
  • Onsite gym and physio with Gear4music discounts & perks.
  • A relaxed dress code and a great coffee machine to make your day more enjoyable.
  • Plus the following: employee referral scheme, employer pension scheme, corporate eyecare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, company sick pay scheme, enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption pay, annual flu vaccinations, access to the 26‑day per annum WFH policy where job roles permit.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation, in line with the Equality Act 2010. If you require any reasonable adjustments as part of the recruitment process, please let us know. A member of our friendly recruitment team will contact you to discuss your needs in more detail and ensure appropriate arrangements are made. We have an open, collaborative, and friendly culture, and offer a supportive learning environment for people to grow and develop a career with us.

How To Apply

Please do not submit a showreel. Instead, please send us: Links to 2–3 completed projects you have edited and a brief outline of your specific role in each edit.
