This is a part-time position (5.5 hours a week.) You will be required to work Saturdays (9.45-4.45pm).
There is also potential to work extra hours providing holiday cover as and whenever needed.
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Showroom Assistant to join our team.
You'll be the friendly face that welcomes customers into our showroom, helping them find the right products and ensuring every visit is a positive, memorable experience.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for musical instruments and equipment who enjoys sharing their knowledge and delivering outstanding customer service.
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate is passionate about music and enjoys helping others.
You'll be someone who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and works well as part of a team.
Full on-the-job training will be provided, but an interest in musical instruments and music technology, along with a willingness to learn, is essential.
What You Will Do
- Welcoming customers into the showroom and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Advising customers on a wide range of musical instruments, equipment, and accessories.
- Demonstrating instruments and musical equipment to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
- Maintaining a well-stocked, organised, and visually appealing showroom.
- Resolving customer queries and service issues professionally and efficiently.
- Supporting customers with purchases across all departments and product categories.
- What Your Skill Set May Look Like
- A good general knowledge of musical instruments, equipment, and accessories.
- A passion for music and an eagerness to continue learning about our products.
- A confident, friendly, and approachable manner with customers and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good technical understanding of musical instruments and music equipment.
- Experience presenting products with a strong eye for detail.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet applications.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
