Gear4music, a leading retailer of musical instruments and equipment, is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic part-time Showroom Assistant to join our showroom team in Clifton Moor, York. Your role will be to greet customers, help them find what they need, and ensure they have a positive in-store experience. This is a part-time position (14.5 hours per week). You will be required to work on Saturdays (9.45am-4.45pm) and one weekday (9am-5.30pm). There is also potential for extra hours to provide holiday cover as needed.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate is someone who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge. The successful applicant will receive on-the-job training but must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team. What you will do
- Greet customers and assist them in finding products.
- Provide advice about instruments, mainly guitars, in the showroom.
- Demonstrate instruments and musical equipment.
- Manage stock control and presentation.
- Ensure the showroom is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Address and resolve customer service issues professionally.
- Assist customers outside your specialist area when needed.
