Ready to help build the teams behind the UK’s leading music gear retailer? We’re looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our welcoming team in York on a fixed-term basis and support our hiring activity across the business. You’ll help keep our hiring process running smoothly, coordinating interviews, supporting hiring managers, and making sure every candidate has a brilliant experience from first click to first day. Whether you’ve already worked in recruitment or you’re keen to build your career in this field, we’ll support you every step of the way. If you love working with people, thrive in a busy environment, and want to make a real impact in a growing music‑led business, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering with hiring managers and supporting candidates from application through to offer.
  • You’ll focus primarily on large‑volume seasonal recruitment, alongside occasional specialist roles so organisation and adaptability are key.
  • Your day‑to‑day will include:
  • Building strong relationships with managers across the business and acting as their first point of contact
  • Creating and posting engaging job adverts across job boards and social media
  • Proactively sourcing candidates through job boards, networking, referrals and events
  • Screening candidates
  • Scheduling interviews and supporting assessment centres
  • Preparing and issuing job offer paperwork including offer letters, contracts, and new starter forms
  • Keeping systems accurate, up‑to‑date and GDPR compliant
  • Ensuring every candidate has a positive recruitment experience

What We’re Looking For

We’re building a diverse and inclusive team and welcome applications from all backgrounds. If you’re excited about the role but unsure whether you tick every box, apply anyway. Your attitude and potential matter just as much as experience. Previous recruitment or HR administration experience is beneficial, but not essential. What’s most important is your mindset and soft skills. You’ll bring:

  • Good organisational and administrative skills with confidence using Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when managing paperwork and sensitive data.
  • Friendly, confident communicator - both verbally and in writing.
  • Self‑motivated and collaborative team player who brings energy and reliability.
  • Calm under pressure in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving, with a keen eye for process improvements.

Please Note: This is a split‑site role, so you'll need to be able to work from both our Clifton Moor and Holgate locations in York. The role is being offered on a fixed term contract until Friday the 4th December 2026.

What we’ll give you

Alongside the benefit of working with a fantastic bunch of talented people, we are committed to providing a well‑rounded benefits package that includes development opportunities and support for your wellbeing:

  • Generous discount scheme across our full range of music and home entertainment products.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, offering 24/7 caring & compassionate support across a wide range of areas.
  • Access to 30 qualified Mental Health First Aiders across the business, demonstrating our commitment to prioritising mental health & wellbeing support as a ‘Mindful Employer’.
  • Free car parking with access to electric charging points
  • Plus the following: employee referral scheme, employer pension scheme, corporate eyecare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, company sick pay scheme, enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption pay, annual flu vaccinations, access to the 26-day per annum WFH policy where job roles permit.

We have an open, collaborative, and friendly culture, and offer a supportive learning environment for people to grow and develop a career with us. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation, in line with the Equality Act 2010. If you require any reasonable adjustments as part of the recruitment process, please let us know. A member of our friendly recruitment team will contact you to discuss your needs in more detail and ensure appropriate arrangements are made.
