What you'll be doing
- Infrastructure & Network Management
- Maintain and optimise multi‑site connectivity, including fire wall configurations, VPNs, and site‑to‑site Wi‑Fi performance.
- Oversee the business communication suite, including VOIP telephony systems and mobile account management.
- Manage the core cloud productivity suite, including directory services, email flow, file‑sharing permissions, and license optimisation.
- Responsible for Identity and Access Management (IAM) across all company software and hardware.
- Security & Compliance (Physical & Digital)
- Full ownership of Physical Security systems, including biometric access control and CCTV networks across all sites.
- Act as a primary key holder and the first point of contact for out‑of‑hours alarm escalations.
- Act as the primary lead for organisational Security, defending against human‑risk vulnerabilities such as phishing, email impersonation, and identity theft.
- Manage the tools and training necessary to keep our staff and internal data safe.
- Line‑manage and support the IT Support Technician, ensuring high standards for ticket resolution and user satisfaction.
- Ensure the reliability of business‑critical operational hardware, including industrial labeling equipment and warehouse provisioning stations.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end provisioning process for all staff hardware (laptops, desktops, and developer‑spec machines).
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Accountable for the maintenance and regular testing of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan, including data backup integrity, off‑site storage, and 'failover' procedures for critical sites.
- Lead the technical response during major outages (e.g., total loss of connectivity or hardware failure).
- Regularly audit internal systems to identify single points of failure within the physical infrastructure landscape and propose redundancy solutions.
- Serve as a key point of technical escalation for critical system failures, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of recovery timelines.
- Manage the IT budget and procurement process for all hardware and software.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external technical vendors and service providers.
- Conduct regular audits of software subscriptions to ensure cost‑efficiency and security compliance.
What we're looking for

- Proven background in implementing and maintaining business‑wide security protocols.
- Deep understanding of enterprise cloud administration and identity management.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior IT staff.
- Comfortable working with both physical and digital infrastructure.
- Able to manage priorities independently and make informed technical purchasing decisions.
- Experience with CCTV, access control systems, or physical security infrastructure.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and business continuity frameworks.
- Familiarity with warehouse or operational technology environments.
- Experience working in fast‑paced multi‑site organisations.
Why Join us?
